Kumarsain
16kms on nh -22. One of the ancient hill states in Shimla hills, raja’s palace still
exists in kumarsain village ancient koteshwar mahadev temple is worth seeing kotgarh and thanedhar 18kms link road bifurcates from narkanda .
Rampur
Once the captal of the princely state of bushehar Rampur presently once of the biggest
commercial town of h.p. located on the
left bank of river Sutlej, the town was once a major center on the old trade
routes to kinnaur, Tibet, ladakh and china
{ places of interest in and around Rampur }.
Dutt nagar
12kms ancient village on the left bank of satluj which derieved its name from the ancient
temple of god dattatraya.
Nirath
18kms famous for ancient and unique “sun temple “ of nirath
and also for bhimakali temple.
Nirmand
17kms from Rampur. It has famous holy shrines of lord parshuram, ambika
and other temples having fine wood carvings. This is one of the biggest
villages in himachal pardesh.
Sarahan
Bhimakali temple complex , the centuries old temple is now locked and in the new built temple the
goddess bhimakali is portrayed as a maiden and as a women . this temple complex includes other temple such as
narsing shrine of bhairon and lord raghunath.
Bird park
Above the temple complex there is a pheasant breeding centre. It has also the state bird
monal which is a great attraction .
Bhaba valley
50kms from sarahan . a
beautiful valley along bhaba river, link road to valley originates at wangtu.
It has a beautiful land – scape, reservoir lake and alpine meadows and is the base route for famous trek route to pin valley in spiti.
Kalpa
Situated at the the height of 2960m, above the sea level and about
110km from sarahan, kalpa is beautifull and main village of kinnaur across the
river facing majestic mountains of kinner-kailash range { place of intrest
around kalpa }.
Recongpeo
Located 240kms from Shimla, 7kms from powari and 13kms from
kalpa. Recongpeo is the headquater of the district kinnaur, provides fine view
of the kinner-kailash.
Kothi
Just 3kms from recong peo. Kothi has a ancient temple
dedicated to the goddess chanadika devi. Set
against a backdrop of mountains of deadar the temple has an ususual
architectural style and fine sculpture.
