Bijli mahadev
A miraculous temple 11kms
away from dullu at an altitude of 7874fts above the sea
level. 8kms can be covered by a bus/taxi while the stretch of last 3kms has to
be trekked through a pastoral walk amidst fragrant trees. The ‘shivling ‘
inside the temple is shattered in to pieces by lightening practically every
year . the shattered pieces are subsequently assembeled together by pujaries
with the help of butter in to its
original form. Scientists believe that there is some metal like platinum in the
roof which causes the split but authenticity escapes the investigators.
A beautiful plateau a top the mountain opposite kullu town
having historical temple of lord shiva. Prefix to the name of lord shiva {
mahadev } bijli means lightening. The shivlinga is struct almost every year by a
bolt of lightening and that is rejoinsd by butter and remains intact till
the next lightening strikes. About five
kilometre drive from kullu town across the river beas over viewing kullu town ,
beautiful kais dhar and lug valley. Further about one and a half kilometre walk
through dense deodar forests brings you to
a grossy plateau over looking confluence of river beas, river parvati
and airport runway down below the valley.
Bhekhali
A bode of devi bhuvneshwari { jagannathi } a sleep, but beautiful, drive of about 8kms from kullu through pine scented road. The
place is for pilgrims as well as for the para-gliders having a wide view of the
valley of gods. You may view bijli mahadev temple, puid on the east,
bhuvneshwari temple; jagdamini rishi temple, darpoin on the south-west and juani mahadev
and nanda deoo on the north-east. The place is also known as a paradise for

Bajaura
Fifteen kilometres from kullu on the kullu manali nh21 having
